 Steel Goal Post Frame and Portal Frame There’s something special about transforming a house into a home. The goal of this project was to create a 'forever home' for the customer and his family. David, the homeowner and a skilled Joiner & Carpenter, oversaw the entire project, coordinating the different elements and creating the structure for a beautiful home – including a dedicated ‘whiskey room.’ Like most projects, we started with a detailed site survey alongside David, the builders, and myself. It quickly became clear that breaking the project into phases would allow it to run smoothly. We agreed on three phases, each with its own delivery:
We were particularly impressed with the speed at which David and the builders worked. The one potentially hazardous area was the apex of the portal frame, due to its height. To improve safety and ease handling, we fabricated the apex of the steel frame in separate parts, so it could be assembled in three pieces rather than as one large, heavy frame. This was a fantastic project to be part of. A combination of solid planning, great communication, and excellent on-site work made it an extremely satisfying project.
